Located in Black Mountain, North Carolina, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Village of Cheshire combines all the good things in life: fine architectural craftsmanship, the beauty of nature, a thriving community, and a healthy, active lifestyle.

Neighbors find it easy to become a part of Cheshire’s vibrant community. Homes are all within walking distance of the Village Center, where shops, offices, a post office, restaurants and cafes offer a wide range of amenities and activities.  Apartment living spaces above the street-level retail suites give the Village Center a European feel with a modern flair.

The Cheshire Racquet Club and Fitness Center are also within walking distance. Outdoor concerts at the amphitheater are a fun way to spend an evening, perhaps followed by a delicious meal at the Highland Grill & Oyster Bar.  Cheshire homes are elegant and one-of-a-kind, crafted of the finest materials with a careful attention to detail. Each unique home boasts sophisticated touches such as arts-and-crafts detailing, hardwood floors, ample front porches and handcrafted stone fireplaces.

A traditional neighborhood development, Cheshire’s design centers on the growth of community and attention to the surrounding environment. Cheshire was designed by the award-winning town-planning firm of Duany, Plater-Zyberk & Company, after a week-long charrette, during which creative ideas and input were gathered from Cheshire’s founder, city planners, architects, and the public.
